Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the students and the staff of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, Chennai-44 had the blessed opportunity of having the Divine Maha Samadhi Darshan of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, during the Parthi Pilgrimage organized between 7th and 9th July 2023. The group comprising of 269 members, started in 5 buses on 7th July, in the early morning from SSSIE and reached Prasanthi Nilayam in the evening on the same day. The spacious Sai Bhaktha Nivas hall was provided for accommodation. On each day of the Pilgrimage, students were blessed to have the Divine Maha Samadhi Darshan and receive the Divine vibrations at the Sai Kulwant hall, both in the morning and the evening.

 Day 1 (8th July 2023):

On 8th July, the senior students had the golden opportunity of visiting the prestigious Academic Council Chamber, used to be headed by Bhagawan along with stalwart academicians to frame various curricula, in the administrative block of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. They were inspired to have a glance at the materials used by Bhagawan, placed in the chamber. In the evening, they had an insightful experience when they were taken to the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences and explained about the functioning of the SSSIHMS and its origin. On the same day, the junior students were mesmerized to witness the creative models and displays at the Chaitanya Jyothi and the Sanathana Samskruthi Museum. They had an exclusive show in the Sri Sathya Sai Space theatre and visited the Sri Sathya Sai international indoor stadium. They also offered their sincere obeisance at the Divine Samadhi of Sri Sai Geetha, Swami’s pet elephant.

In the evening, after Darshan, the group was elevated to the subtle domain of Swaras and rhythms, when they were addressed by Brother Ravikumar, alumnus, SSSIHL and Senior Manager, SSSIHMS, the favourite Bhajan singer of Bhagawan, at the prayer hall of SSSIHL Annexe building. Brother Ravikumar, one of the students who belonged to the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Ooty,  explained about the potential of sound that could be transformed into a Divine melody when it was added to beautiful tunes. He taught the students how to situationally connect with Bhagawan through Sai Bhajans. He appreciated the students for their good singing and proper putting of the Thalam. He stressed that students should know the meaning of the Bhajans while singing and narrated His loving Divine experiences with Bhagawan.

Day 2 (9th July 2023):

On 9th July, the group visited various temples and places of interest at Parthi such as Eswaramma Samadhi, Lord Sri Anjaneya Temple, Swami’s Birth Place etc. In the early morning, the volleyball students of SSSIE, had a gifted chance of playing volleyball in the Sri Sathya Sai International indoor stadium. They received various tips from Sri Ravi Kiran, Physical director, SSSIHL. In the afternoon, it was yet another blessed opportunity to the group when they were addressed by Prof. Dr. Sai Giridhar, Registrar, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning at the Auditorium, SSSIHL. Dr.Sai Giridhar made his session interactive and impactful through his spontaneous analysis on the need of education for life or living. Quoting Swami’s message ‘Study to be steady!’, he delineated upon the requirement of self-confidence to have the feeling of self-sacrifice that would lead to self-satisfaction and self-realization in the end. He advised the students to have high ambitions in life and stressed that low ambition was a crime. The session concluded with his narration of incidents with Bhagawan that showcased His incessant love for the students. Prof. Dr.Raghunatha Sharma, Director, Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, SSSIHL had also made his esteemed presence during the session.

This year, the SSSIE Parthi pilgrimage witnessed the abundant care and love of Bhagawan on His chosen students. Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan, Senior Principal Smt. Savithri Chandrasekaran, Vice Principal Smt. Vedhanayagi and other teaching and non-teaching staff had accompanied the students.  Packed with inspiring and memorable sessions, the pilgrimage concluded successfully attaining its pre-planned goals to give the students a life-time experience of living at the holy abode of the Lord of the Universe. After partaking Swami’s Divine Prasadam, the group returned back to SSSIE in the morning on 10th July 2023.
