Gurupoornima Celebrations (3/7/23)

With the Divine Blessings of our beloved Bhagawan, Gurupoornima was celebrated at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, Chennai-44, expressing love and gratitude at the lotus feet of our beloved Sadhguru Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, on 3rd July 2023. In connection with the celebration, a week long assembly session on the theme ‘Guru Mahima’ was organized. Teachers delivered talk about the greatness and preaching of Gurus of Bharath such as Sri Ramakrishna Pramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Ramana Maharishi and Avatars Lord Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. On the day of the festival on 3rd July 2023, Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan hoisted the Prasanthi Flag. The chief guest of the day was Mrs. I.S.Kavitha, State Spiritual Co-ordinator, SSSSO-TN. The programme began with Prasanthi Flag hoisting followed by lighting the lamp of love. Students enacting as Sage Vishwamitra and an ideal Sai student, compered for the entire events of the day. After invoking the Divine Blessings through Veda chanting, Director Sri P.Kumarasamy welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. As a part of the cultural programmes, the girl students offered a mesmerizing dance performance on Sadhguru Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Master Rikshit of Class IV presented a powerful speech on ‘Guru Devo Bhava’ in Tamil. It was followed by a soulful offering of Sri Guru Padhukashtakam Stotram and devotional songs by the assembly team. Then, the chief guest Mrs. I.S.Kavitha gave an inspiring and heart-touching talk on the glory of our beloved Sadguru Bhagawan. She highlighted that only with the presence of God inside us, we had become valuable beings. The story of a garland-maker at Parthi was narrated to emphasize that we should get rid off our ego to get the proximity of Bhagawan. She narrated 2 dreams ,one shared by Mrs. K.Saimeera, Former Principal, SSSIE and the other one experienced by herself on the same day, to highlight the point that Swami gave indications before Mrs. K.Saimeera’s merging at His Divine Lotus Feet. She also expressed her gratitude to her Balvikas Guru Sri P.Kumarasamy. It was followed by prize distribution function. Students who won in various outside competitions and events, were felicitated. Senior Principal Smt. Savithri Chandrasekaran, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with Mangala Arathi and Prasadam distribution.In the evening, a special meeting was convened, attended by all the staff. Each one promised before Swami the transformation they were going to bring in them to become an ideal Guru. Correspondent Sri S.Lognathan, Director Sri P.Kumarasamy, Vice Principal Smt. Vedhanayagi and few other staff narrated about the Gurus who guided them in their life. A special Gurupoornima gift was given by the Management to all the staff.
