Sports Meet 2024

The 44^th annual sports and cultural meet of the school was organized in a spectacular manner on 11^th Jan 2024 between 5:30 and 8:30 pm on the theme ‘JAI HANUMAN’ – encompassing the divine story of Lord Hanuman and His servitude (Dasa Bhakthi) to Lord Sri Ram.

The programme began with welcoming Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in a beautifully decorated chariot with Veda Parayanam and Band procession. After students performed the march past, Sri P.Kumarasamy, Director delivered the welcome address. The school annual report was presented on 3 topics viz. academic excellence, co-curricular excellence and human excellence by Senior Principal Smt. Savithri Chandrasekaran, Vice Principal Smt. Veda Nayagi and Primary Head Mistress Smt. Poongothai. K respectively.

Correspondent Sri Loganathan introduced the chief guest of the day. Sri A.Arokia Raj, Deputy superintendent of police, Vridhachalam, subdivision, Cuddalore District was the chief guest of the programme. During His Address Sri A.Arokia Raj insisted that if we think good and do good, only goodness will manifest. He advised the students to get a good friend to share everything. One should add a good Friend after Guru in the list of Matha, Pitha, Guru, Deivam. All the parents should take care of their parents so that their children would take care of then whey they would become old. He appreciated the teachers who have moulded the students with admiring skills. He placed a request to all to treat police personnels as their friend.

Sri K.R.Srikanth, Wing Commander, Indian Air Force was the guest of honour. During his address, Sri K.R.Srikanth stated that soldiers like him would keep the motherland first than the mother because if our motherland is secure, then our mother, brother, sister and all others will be secure. He advised the students to follow essential values like time management, loyalty and integrity.

Dr. K.Hariharan, Managing Trustee and other Trustees of Sai Educare Trust, Educational Advisor Dr.Uma Sivaraman, Deputy Commisioner (Retd.), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Ernakulam, Sri Saisridhar, Vice President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, TN, Mrs. Geetha Hariharan, Well-wisher SSSIE were the other esteemed guests present during the event.

It was followed by felicitation of the sports and fine art coaches who trained the students in an appreciable manner for the Meet. Best house in Sports and Co-curricular activities were awarded the shield. Individual Rathna award of excellence and contribution in sports, fine arts, character development, service attitude, spirituality, technology were awarded to the selected students. Sri Thyagarajan, Senior Teacher proposed the vote of thanks.

Students enthralled the audience with a soulful fien arts fusion ensemble on the theme ‘Rama Thoothan Hanuman’. A fascinating skit on the Divine Story of Lord Hanuman and His devotion to Lord Sri Rama in the form of servitude was portrayed through a scintillating drama presented by the students with mesmerizing dance performances in between.

After the cultural programs, mind-blowing adventurous events were presented. Students enthralled the audience through Karate, Silambam, Gymnastics, Fabric Yoga, Skating, Human Pyramid events. Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan headed the whole programme. The programme concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
