Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet celebrated the 77th Independence Day with patriotic fervour. The theme for this year’s celebration was India’s Presidency to the G20 group of Nations.
 
 
The outdoor celebration began with the singing if Tamil Thaai Vaazhtthu. Dr. K.Hariharan, Managing Trustee, Sai Educare Trust was the chief guest of the day. The National Flag was hoisted with the Chief Guest and flag salute was performed. Students sang ‘Thayin Manikkodi Paareer’ song in praise of the Indian National Flag. After singing the National Anthem, the indoor programme commenced in the Ram sai hall. The Divine blessings were invoked with a vibrant Veda chanting. Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan welcomed the gathering and emphasized that it was important what we had done to the nation than what the nation had done to us. He appreciated the selfless service of the members of the Sai Educare Trust – Dr. K.Hariharan, Sri Sekar Narasimhalu and Director Sri P.Kumarasamy for their ideals and vision to develop SSSIE as the best Sri Sathya Sai School.
 
 
After a brief report of the G20 Presidency by India and its theme ‘Vasudaiva Kudumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future’ by a senior student, the tiny tots of SSSIE presented a mesmerizing character show on the leaders of the G20 nations which received thunderous applauses from the audience. Honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendranath Modi’s address on the G20 presidency was shown to the students. It was followed by a spectacular dance performance by the class VI girl students to the song of Mahakavi Bharathiyar – ‘Aaduvome.. Pallu Paaduvome…’ The synchronized performance by the students stole the hearts.
 
 
An informative PPT presentation on the Freedom Movements of Mother India by the students, was well-received by everyone. Then, it was time for the guests to address the students. Vice Principal Smt. Vedha Nayagi presented a brief profile of the chief guest Dr. K.Hariharan. Dr. K.Hariharan appreciated the students for having been chosen to study at SSSIE which focuses on the human values rathen than commercial infrastructure outside.
 
Sri Sekar Narasimhalu, another guest of the day and one of the Trustees of Sai Educare Trust, informed that he was extremely happy to see all the G20 leaders at SSSIE through the sparkling show by the tiny tots. He highlighted that the students of SSSIE would become the national and international leaders in future.
 
 
Smt. Savithri Chandrasekaran, Senior Principal proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with offering of Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan and Prasadam distribution. Sairam.
