With the divine grace of Bhagawan, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, celebrated the nation’s 74th Republic Day in a very majestic fashion. The program started with the remarkable parade in which all the four houses showcased unity and the disciplined characters of the forthcoming army generals who shall transform the world. During the parade, our country’s national songs were sung with respect. The Indian flag was hoisted with pride by the chief guest of the day Mr. V. Nagaraj Rao, Divisional Manager, MPS and Crop Logistics, Ashok Leyland.
 
After this event, a series of indoor performances took place. This included a vibrant session of Veda chanting. Mr. P. Kumarasamy, Director, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Primary Headmistress Smt. Saigowri presented a brief profile of the chief guest.
 
Followed this was a mesmerising dance performance by class I and II girls. The value song dance named ‘Love goes one by one, two by two, four by four…’ was indeed spectacular. Then, came a motivational speech in Tamil by brother Samrish, Class V. He narrated how the Indian Constitution was framed and how much did the Indians struggle to gain independence. Then, the primary girl students presented a patriotic dance titled, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, meaning, ‘let every home have the tricolor’. This dance showed us how we must unite with our fellow countrymen.
 
Subsequently, the audience heard a motivational speech telling the audience various facts about the constitution. This inspiring Hindi speech was given by Vinay Krishna, class VIII. It gave us an understanding of the Indian Constitution in detail. Following this, was talk in English by R. Sai Niranjan, Class IX, describing the various events that took place during the making of our constitution. Then, came a mind-blowing mime performance through which various important events of the nation’s constitutional progress and the Indian freedom struggle were highlighted.
 
The chief guest then addressed the students on many of his life’s memorable moments. Starting with the difference between the commercial Education provided in the outside world and the spiritual value-based education provided at SSSIE. He narrated how he had felt the same Divine vibrations as that of the Parthi Sai school when he entered SSSIE. He then explained how swami’s presence had a deep impact on his life right from his childhood through balvikas uptil now. He shared stories narrated by Bhagawan on developing good character and positive thinking.
 
The final republic day event was the prize distribution. The eager and competitive children received prizes from the hands of the chief guest. Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan felicitated the chief guest with a memento of love. Vice Principal Smt. Veda Nayagi proposed the vote of thanks. After this joyous session, Mangala Aarthi was performed. Prasad was distributed to everyone present.
