Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, Chennai -44 on 31st July 2022. Students participated in a special Ganesh Homam performed in the early morning. Lord Sri Vidya Ganesh dwelling at the centre of the SSSIE campus was offered special Abhishekam by the students using more than 15 traditional materials, accompanied by Sri Rudram chanting.
Students engaged themselves in singing of Ganesh Bhajans, Ganesh devotional songs etc. Also, students belonging to the 4 houses of SSSIE, offered 1008 times Likitha Japam of the Namavali ‘Aum Sri Sai Ganesha’ each. After the Abhishekam was over, stunning Alankaram was offered to Lord Sri Vidya Ganesh. The chanting by the students ‘Ganapathi bappa Morya, Mangal Murthi Vinayaka’ reverberated the entire campus. . All learnt about the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and the values learnt from Lord Ganesha through a week-long assembly programme. They experienced the tradition of performing Homam and Abhishekam as per ancient procedures set by our ancestors. The programme ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan and Prasadam distribution.
