Sairam. On the second day of the grand Navaratri celebrations, held under the inspiring theme “Gayantham Tryathe Iti Gayatri”, the sacred value of Ahimsa—the second among the Ashta Pushpas—was observed as the day’s Sadhana. The morning assembly began with a mesmerizing musical offering by students from the Keyboard Department. Their soulful renditions of devotional songs, woven through intricate ragas and thalas, left the audience spellbound. The synchronization and mastery over the instrument were a testament to their dedication and talent.
This was followed by a thought-provoking Navaratri Pravachan by Ms. N. Vedhanayagi, Principal-in-charge, who eloquently spoke on the significance of practicing Ahimsa in daily life. Through a touching short video, she inspired the audience to extend compassion towards animals and all living beings. She urged students to introspect deeply—ensuring their thoughts, words, and actions do not cause harm to others. Her speech beautifully illustrated the spiritual progression: Sathya leading to Dharma, Dharma to Shanti, Shanti to Prema, and Prema culminating in Ahimsa. The essence of Swami’s Divine Message – Help Ever, Hurt Never’ was highlighted during the talk.
The session continued with a student pravachan by Master Harish Ragavan of Class XII, who emphasized the transformative power of chanting the Gayatri Mantra. He shared moving anecdotes of devotees who were miraculously protected—even from death—through their unwavering faith and regular chanting. As a gesture of appreciation, Correspondent Sri S. Loganathan lovingly presented tokens of gratitude to all the performers of the day. The gathering was then guided to chant the Sri Subramanya Gayatri during all prayer sessions—before the start of each period and while transitioning outside the classroom, the designated Sadhana for the day. The session concluded with the auspicious Mangala Arathi, leaving hearts uplifted and minds serene. Sairam.
