Day I:
The Parthi Pilgrimage was a truly blissful and transformative experience for all the students who attended. It left a deep, soulful impact on everyone involved, creating unforgettable memories of devotion, divinity, and inspiration. This three-day spiritual tour (11th to 13th July) was filled with uplifting bhajans, profound speeches, sacred rituals, and above all, the Divine Maha Samadhi Darshan of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
On the Thursday prior to the pilgrimage, a heartfelt offering took shape as all the students and staff wrote letters to Bhagawan. Each letter was a sincere expression of gratitude, personal prayers, and reflections on their spiritual transformation. These handwritten tributes served as a symbol of devotion and reverence, capturing the essence of their connection to the Divine. During the pilgrimage, these letters were lovingly placed at the Maha Samadhi of Bhagawan, becoming a sacred part of the journey and deepening the group’s bond with Swami’s eternal presence.
The group was accommodated at one of the Sai Bhaktha Nivas Halls, and the first day began with morning prayers and Jyothi meditation, setting a serene and spiritual tone. The students then received divine darshan at the nearby Gayatri Matha and Varalakshmi Matha temples. After breakfast, everyone gathered in the vibrant Sai Kulwant Hall, where they took part in Veda chanting and devotional bhajans, feeling the powerful spiritual energy of the space.
Following Bhagawan’s Divya Darshan, the group visited Chaitanya Jyothi—a magnificent center that beautifully showcases Swami’s divine missions and accomplishments. The exhibits were exceptionally crafted and deeply inspiring. Next, the students explored the Sanathana Sanskruthi Museum, where rich history, sacred art, and Swami’s life journey were detailed with great care. Displays included the Dashavataram, stories from Swami’s childhood, and highlights of his iconic service projects. The pilgrimage continued with a visit to the sacred Vata Vriksham, a meditating tree installed by Bhagawan. The students meditated under its shade, experiencing a profound sense of peace and divine presence.
During the evening darshan, the hall was blessed by the devotional music of devotees from the USA, who were also on their Parthi pilgrimage as part of the centenary celebrations. Their heartfelt offerings of song uplifted the atmosphere, resonating with the vibrations of devotion.
Later that evening, the group had the Divya Darshan of Bhagawan, followed by an enriching satsang session delivered by Sri Sathish Babu, Warden, Sri Sathya Sai Junior Boys Hostel. He shared various value-based and spiritual insights, including a touching story where Swami lovingly addressed boys based on their commitment to Suprabhatam chanting—calling those who observed it “good boys” and humorously teasing the others. Through such anecdotes, he emphasized that no prayer ever goes unanswered with Bhagawan.

Day II:
On the second day, the group once again began with morning prayers and Jyothi meditation, followed by temple visits. A significant stop was at the Eswaramma Samadhi, where the samadhis of Swami’s mother, Eswaramma, and father, Sri Venkappa Raju, are reverently worshipped. The students also had darshan at the Sri Hanuman and Sri Venugopal Swami temples, which are historically and spiritually connected to the Puttaparthi region.
A deeply moving moment came when the group visited the very birthplace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It was a soul-stirring experience—witnessing the sacred grounds where the divine incarnation took birth touched the hearts of every pilgrim. In the afternoon, the students attended a powerful satsang by Sri Sai Surendranath, Teacher, Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School and one of Swami’s early BCom students. He spoke passionately about the importance of Faith, Surrender, Self-Discipline, and Unconditional Love in receiving Swami’s divine protection. His stories, laced with humor and humility, included Swami fulfilling a promise to take him in His own car, and the memorable “Chapatti incident,” where Swami was delighted by the students’ perfectly made chapatis, acknowledging their loving seva.
The day culminated in a moving drama titled “I am Sai Baba,” performed by devotees from the USA. The performance was rich in values and beautifully depicted Swami’s divine nature even during his childhood. Evening bhajans and Mangala Aarthi followed, alongside another blessed Darshan of Bhagawan. After dinner, the students departed Prasanthi Nilayam with joyful chants of “Jaikars to Bhagawan,” returning to their campus in the early hours of July 14th.
The pilgrimage concluded with Mangala Aarthi offered to Lord Sri Vidya Ganesh at the SSSIE Campus, sealing this divine journey with gratitude and love. It was not merely a trip—it was a spiritual awakening, a reminder of the omnipresence of our beloved Swami, and a call to carry forward his message through our thoughts, words, and actions. Sairam.
