On 3rd September, 2011, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini Program was launched in the mentor schools, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Nemilichery, Chromepet and Sri Vishva Vidyalaya Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Vandalur by Sri .N. Ramani, the State President, Sri Sathya Sai Organisations. He welcomed the gathering and expressed interest in implementation of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini programme in all Sai schools in Tamilnadu. Dr. V. Mohan, the Convenor, Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Tamil Nadu, expressed that the SSSVV program will help today’s young children to bring in transformation in the Nation and in turn in the World, tomorrow. It was followed by address by Guest of honour, Sri.Murali, Assistant commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Chennai who praised this programme as the one which intensely thinks of values. Sri. G.Balasubramaniam, former Director Academic, CBSE pointed out that this programme aims at bringing out transformation in an individual by inculcating values right from their prime life.

Later, the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini central core team members conducted a one day workshop for teachers of both these schools. These schools were chosen as mentors in order to guide and train other schools who will be implementing Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini program in future. The teachers were oriented about the best practices in education by Guest of honour Sri.G.Balasubramaniam. Brother Sathyajith then explained about the philosophy, mandate and content of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini. Guest speakers Dr.Atriya and Smt.Sai leela elaborated on the seven point template used in Vidya vahini lesson plans and about teacher preparation. The post lunch session included subjectwise discussion of lesson plans by the teachers. This was followed by a meeting of members of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini, Tamilnadu with the central core team members, Sri .Satyajith and Sri.Sarath Kumar who insisted in bringing out the involvement of more friends and well wishers in this precious project handed over to us by Bhagawan Baba.
