The Chief Guest of valedictory function, Sri. Vanchinathan, in his valedictory address, stressed the need for practising values rather than merely preaching them to children. It is because children at school observe and follow what the teacher does rather than what she says. He also highlighted that the real purpose of this course on Educare is ‘tuning in’ to realise the Divine within.

This course has given the participants a great chance to re-discover the latent potential in each one of them. Being a residential course, it has been a perfect Sadhana time for participants to practice the various spiritual disciplines like jyothi dhyanam, suprabhathams, bhajans, spiritual reading etc. Residential courses such as these provide the necessary environment to imbibe values through practical experience and hence the confidence that they gained can be implemented in day to day life too. The lectures, group discussions, role plays etc have enabled the participants to develop concrete plans of implementing the value system in their personal lives as well as the teaching profession. Inter personal relationships have also been greatly developed due to the ample opportunities to serve each other.

Participants of First Batch April 2009

On the overall, this course has created a transformation within each one of the participants thus showing them a clear path to a purposeful life.
